»So this is where it all begins
again....a new beginning for Planet Jackie! I'd like
to thank all of you for staying tuned and being ever
so patient while I had so many things going on, thus
unfortunately Planet Jackie suffered. Well, not any
longer! I have so many things to talk about and share;
I am not to sure where to even begin - so how about
a little bit about me!
I am so lucky to have all the great
opportunities that I have had thus far in my life
at such a young age, yes, I will admit my real age,
22. I was born in Nov. of 1981 but I still do consider
myself an 80's child! Even though I may not have been
rocking out in concerts with Poison and Van Halen,
I was taking my first steps to their hair bangin'
tunes! I grew up in the same house all my childhood
and am still a resident of a great lil' town Strongsville,
a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. I am the eldest of four
kids to my great mom and dad....and let me tell you
that my two brothers couldn't be any more thrilled
that their big sis is a part of the WWE. My sister
is so awesome, I love her to death. Even with how
different that we are, we get along great. My mom
and dad are totally supportive of me pursuing my dream
and have been there for me every step of the way....even
though I did have to put college on hold. But I always
say, an education is something that one can and should
get all throughout life, although a chance to pursue
a passion and fulfill your dream is a chance that
I couldn't possibly pass up!
As I grew up, sports became a huge
part of my life. I played everything from basketball
to fast pitch softball for years. I found my true
love to be on the track though. After my first track
meet in 5th grade I was hooked! Some people call me
crazy for running around in circles or up hills all
day but I see it as a sport that I love still dearly
to this day. However, sports weren't totally my life.
I was always working hard at my schoolwork and for
about five years, working on my wind pipes too - playing
the flute. My parents always stressed the importance
of schoolwork and it certainly paid off when I was
Academic -All Ohio my freshman through senior years
in high school. Speaking of high school, let's talk
for a second about that. I attended Strongsville High
School, my first public school after 8 years of interparochial
school, and am still proud today to be a part of the
Class of 2000 - go Mustangs! In high school, this
is where my true competitor spirit really began to
flourish. I decided that to be the best at one thing,
you may have to sacrifice others. So, with that in
mind, I gave up the other sports that I played to
solely concentrate on cross country and track. I had
an outstanding coach, Coach Knapick, whom I still
thank today for placing such great hard work ethic
into my mind and body. I was an All-Ohio athlete for
the four years that I attended Strongsville High,
along with being a State competitor year after year.
I had the honor of being team captain for both cross
country and track and boy was that a blast! I had
the honor of meeting some of my dearest friends through
my high school years, although I am blessed to have
met so many wonderful friends before and after that
are like family....I love you Oppo and Uncle Sanchez,
not to mention my lil' Lauren!
After being such a tomboy in high
school, my first year in college opened my "girly"
side up. Not to say that being a tomboy isn't great,
I was just never one to spend my mornings prepping
my hair and makeup for class.....I am still and will
always be a tomboy at heart, just a bit more dressed
up one now! I attended the University of Toledo until
the opportunity for Tough Enough came about. As for
being a Toledo Rocket, I studied broadcast and journalism
- I had always loved to write and being a member of
my high school newspaper editing department carried
over into my interests for a career, which I am still
very much interested in pursuing one day. Even though
academics was of total importance to me, I also got
more and more interested in not only how fast I was
at this week's track or cross country meet but how
my body looked. Even tough I was studying broadcast
and journalism, I always loved physical fitness and
became more and more aware of it as I grew up. In
doing so, my eyes became more and more tuned back
into watching wrestling and admiring the physiques
of the guys and girls alike. I became very interested
in lifting weights and found myself a great trainer
and friend, Jeff, whom I am very lucky to still be
with today! He began teaching me the ins and outs
of the world of fitness and bodybuilding and was really
able to transform my runner's body into a fitness
body within a short amount of time. He has been very
influential within the past few years of my life and
I wouldn't be where I am today without his guidance.
However, it took a ton of hard work and discipline
and we can thank my parents for some pretty good genes
too! But let me stress that all those genes weren't
a blessing, as I am finding out the older I get, as
so many others do too, that there is always an uphill
battle to fight. But where there is a will, there
is a way, which takes me to my next life endeavor
- Tough Enough!
I have a lot of loves and interests
in my life, anything from Disneyland and rollercoasters,
little puppy dogs and Stweie from the television show
"Family Guy", to writing in my spare time
and ....ok, ok and who of course can forget about
a girl's best friend, no not diamonds, shopping! However
nothing can get in your blood so bad as what I found
as such a great passion of mine...wrestling! After
getting back into the mix of the WWE storylines about
four years ago, a dear friend of mine and someone
who will always hold a close place in my heat, introduced
me to the Tough Enough 1 audition. He said that he
knew that I could do it - that I was the next Diva!
And he was right and helped me along every step of
the way - for without him, I may have not had enough
faith in myself and my dream to truly pursue it and
I love him dearly for it! So with the help of my close
friends and family, not to forget about my trainer
who whipped me into shape harder than ever, I got
the call to come to New York City to try out. I couldn't
believe it! Was this really happening? So, I packed
up for my first trip to the Big Apple, not knowing
the first thing to expect. After a day of pure excitement
and adrenaline rushes, I found out I made it to the
final 25! Oh my gosh, this really happening I thought!
It was the opportunity of a lifetime, a chance to
pursue a dream of mine to be in the World Wrestling
Entertainment. As I was standing alongside the other
final 25 eagerly awaiting my name to be called, I
met some awesome people whom I still keep in touch
with today, who introduced me into the life of being
one fit gal! However, after the final name was called
up on stage, I was still standing on the floor. How
could I be too upset though, I never would have even
imagined making it this far and this close to my dream.
So, I went home with the greatest experience of my
life up to date. However, when I came back home, I
knew I was bit by the wrestling bug. This was what
I was to do, be a WWE wrestler, so I never gave up.
I went back to school but I couldn't get the thought
of wrestling out of my mind. Low and behold, after
watching Tough Enough 1, I knew this was for me. So,
along came Tough Enough 2 (TE2) and along came Jackie!
I flew to Las Vegas not to be disappointed but to
become a WWE Superstar! This time after a few long
days of grueling try-outs, my name was called by WWE
superstar Tazz as we made it to the top of Red Rock
Mountain in Nevada! And from that point on, I had
the faith that one of those two WWE contracts had
my name on it!
As they say, the rest is history!
I could write an entire novel about my Tough Enough
2 experiences in L.A. but now is not the time! So,
finally after thirteen weeks of in ring and out of
ring training by my fantastic WWE superstar trainers,
after weeks of cuts, quits and injuries, there left
only the final five of us. Put aside all the personal
drama and my knee injury, it was a wild card going
into the final episode in NYC. Let's face it, the
two contracts could have gone out to any of us five.
When my name was called as one of the winners, I really
couldn't believe it! Not that I didn't have any faith
in myself, it was just amazing, I had really done
it, I had made it to the WWE!
But now it was time to really crack
down and get to learn all about the world of wrestling.....which,
by the way, is never-ending. After a short television
run, myself and Linda - the other winner of TE2 -
trained in Louisville, Kentucky for approximately
a year. At Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) I learned everything
from how to set up the ring to "cutting a promo"
on your opponent. I was also involved in my first
ever WWE Diva photo shoot and l have loved to be in
front of the camera ever since! It was a total whirl-wind
of a year that I really want to thank my trainers
as well as the other wrestlers there for!
That pretty much brings me to the
present day. About a half year ago I got "the
call". The call that every wrestler dreams of,
to become a part of either the RAW or SmackDown! family.
I was lucky enough to be able to be paired up with
not only a great wrestler but also a great individual,
Rico on RAW. I am still the manager of Rico to this
day and it has been a wild ride thus far. Within not
even a year, I have participated in my first Wrestlemania
in the first ever Playboy Evening Gown match. I was
teamed up with the beautiful Stacy Keibler representing
the RAW side against the gorgeous Playboy Playmates
of Torrie Wilson and Sable of SmackDown! To this date,
that is by far my biggest accomplishment and most
rewarding achievement....thank you WWE for making
a dream of mine come true! Speaking of dreams, I am
not about to stop there. I hope to accomplish so much
more within the world of wrestling in the WWE. Now
that I am on Smackdown after being traded with Rico
a few weeks ago, I have new opportunities to be able
to grab a hold of and run with....and someday hopefully
run back to RAW for the Women's title! However, I
am sure that my dear friend Victoria, the current
Women's WWE champ, would give my quite the run for
my money...you crazy lady you, I love ya!
So, how about that for a bit on
me! Stay tuned to Thursday night SmackDown! on UPN
at 8 E.S.T. to see what Rico and I will be up to next.
Also, don't forget to check out Monday Night RAW on
SPIKE TV at 9 E.S.T. for more WWE superstar action!
Love always and ALL WAYS,
Jackie
